A palavra sociedade pode ser entendida como o conjunto de pessoas que t\u00eam objetivos, gostos, preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es e costumes em comum e que se relacionam entre si formando uma comunidade, ou como o coletivo de cidad\u00e3os de um pa\u00eds, governados por institui\u00e7\u00f5es de n\u00edvel nacional. V\u00e1rios pensadores ao longo do tempo elaboraram ideais de sociedade, e neste trabalho \u00e9 apresentada a sociedade perfeita na concep\u00e7\u00e3o pol\u00edtica de Thomas More, mostrando um pouco das caracter\u00edsticas econ\u00f4micas, culturais, sociais e pol\u00edticas de sua \u00e9poca, o que ajuda a compreender os fundamentos de sua forma\u00e7\u00e3o intelectual, humana, profissional e religiosa e sua atua\u00e7\u00e3o pol\u00edtica. Com isso, passa-se ao estudo de sua obra Utopia, cuja concep\u00e7\u00e3o pol\u00edtica procura-se expressar, pontuando algumas das caracter\u00edsticas de uma sociedade perfeita, o que poder\u00e1 vir a sustentar futuras pesquisas acerca da contemporaneidade das propostas feitas por Thomas More.<\/p>\n

ABSTRACT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Society can be understood as the whole of people which have objectives, tastes, occupations and costumes in common and which have relations among themselves that make them a community, or as the collective of citizens of a country, governed by national institutions. Many thinkers developed ideals of society through the centuries, and in this work is showed the perfect society in the political conception of Thomas More, describing some of the economical, cultural, social and political features of his time, which help to understand the basis of his intellectual, human, professional and religious formation and his political activity. After this, a study of his work Utopia is showed, expressing its political conception and pointing some of the features of a perfect society, and this may be a base to new researches about the contemporariness of the proposals made by Thomas More.<\/p>\n
